Machteld Simoens is a research associate and PhD candidate at the J.Prof. of Societal Transition and Circular Economy at the University of Freiburg. Her main research interests are transitions to sustainable patterns of production and consumption. In her PhD research, she focusses on the sustainability transition to a circular economy in the German packaging sector, with a focus on discourse and agency.
